Aku Ruo Ulo Siri Na Mba: it will help in creating jobs and wealth.
Core drivers for home investment
-
Infrastructure and urban renewal
Federal and state governments are concluding dualization and reconstruction projects, including the Orlu–Mgbee–Akokwa–Uga Road, the Anara–Nwangele–Nkwerre–Orlu Road and the Orlu–Awo Idemili–Ihiala Road. The dualization of the Mgbidi–Omuma–Okporo Road has unlocked commercial activity. The Government House Annex in Eziachi, Orlu, brings government closer to the people and lifts nearby property values.
-
Strong anchor institutions
Property near the zone's institutions enjoys high rental demand and steady appreciation:
- Imo State University Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH), Orlu town
- Imo State School of Nursing and Health Technology, Okporo
- Imo International Market, one of West Africa's most influential pharmaceutical and commercial hubs
-
The diaspora “Aku Ruo Ulo” influx
Orlu is home to some of Nigeria's most successful industrialists and diaspora members. There is steady demand for premium residential homes, gated estates and country homes, especially during festive periods.

Smart investment paths
-
Residential rental yields
Building or buying blocks of flats and mini-estates near Okporo, Eziachi or Orlu town targets medical students, doctors, civil servants and business merchants.
-
Gated estate land banking
Buying plots in planned private layouts, such as Arugo Gardens Estate, or on developing suburban borders offers a lower entry cost and helps shield an investment from local land disputes.
-
Commercial real estate
Land facing major connecting roads, such as the Orlu–Owerri or Mgbidi–Okporo expressways, offers long-term value for plazas, hospitality and corporate offices.
